I have a BA in Communication and Anthropology from Mercer University. After working for three years as a marketing manager I went back to get a MS in Marketing at Georgia State University. Working full-time while in school gave me real-world experience that complemented the principles and best practices learned from my professors.
I’ve brought order and success to clients’ marketing campaigns and projects for close to 2 decades now. I started my career as a marketing coordinator and forged my path through different roles and teams. No matter what role I have or what team I am a part of it always comes back to connection and good communication with both my internal team and my client partners. Over the years, I’ve managed projects for national and global companies such as Georgia Pacific, GE and Aggreko. Here in the Tampa Bay region, I have had the honor to work with many non-profit organizations such as Metropolitan Ministries, and The Florida Holocaust Museum. As well as other beloved Florida attractions such as Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium and the Revs Institute. I am the eternal optimist, smiling in the face of daunting challenges. A positive attitude and strong work ethic are the signatures of my career.
When I’m not keeping projects locked and on schedule, I’m definitely doing something fun. Outside of work, I enjoy a kaleidoscope of interests that range from plant propagation to belting out some karaoke tunes, and most importantly, being the social media manager for my dogs Jack and Cheddar (@mrjackmcfurland). I am a Georgia Peach born and raised but am proud to be doing my part to keep St. Pete weird.
