As an Art Director at Big Sea, I bring innovative ideas to visual life. For me, it’s very important to create designs that not only look beautiful but also communicate a message and evoke a specific emotional response. Why? Because, ultimately, we’re all making decisions based on those emotions. My passion lies in emphasize branding, storytelling and UI/UX, but I can’t lie: I really enjoy creating motion graphics, too.
I started my career as a graphic designer in 2012, while I was still a third-year student at the Faculty of Design and Multimedia at the American University of Europe – FON. I have a B.A. in Graphic Design, another in Digital Marketing and a M.A. in Graphic Design with a concentration in Visual Communication – branding and storytelling. While at school, I was recognized for the caliber of my design and marketing work, including an award for creating the best design campaign for the brand, “I feel sLOVEnia”.
I’ve been a working designer and creative director for more than ten years now, including time spent at two international companies (Norway and England), leading a team of a few designers. I’ve worked with both B2B and B2C companies, including e-commerce businesses, marketing agencies, health care, tech industries. Whether I’m helping clients build their brands from scratch, including logo design, branding guidelines, tone of voice, usage of colors and typography, or developing social media and marketing strategies for them, my goal is always to provide a range of stunning options that delight and engage.
My passion for design education didn’t stop with school or the workforce. Until 2021 I served as a Professor of Graphic Design for two years at Semos Education College, where I had great interaction with the students who ranged in age from 18 to 40s. I taught them how to think in a creative way and how to bring their ideas to life, using beginners and advanced techniques in Adobe Photoshop.
In my personal life, I’m still an artist: I am in love with the music, especially singing and composing. I’ve performed live performances at festivals around the world. (I even performed on the same stage with Kevin Costner and his band at the White Night’s Festival in Saint Petersburg, Russia). I am a huge dog (read: animal) lover! A few of my other hobbies include traveling, hiking and spending time (drinking good coffee) with my family and closest friends.
