As VP of Operations at Big Sea, I’m responsible for driving operational excellence across our organization. I work closely with our team leads and project managers to ensure our teams and projects are properly resourced and operating efficiently. I develop our internal operating policies and processes, while also fostering teamwork, and resolving challenges between departments.
I love math and science, and developed an interest in engineering while still in high school. I have a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida Tampa, and an MBA from USF St. Pet, with focus on Corporate Social Responsibility and Management. That diverse background helps me keep Big Sea running like a well-oiled machine.
The engineer side of my brain led the beginning of my career, but I found that my strategic approach to operations was my true differentiator. I now leverage 15 years’ worth of experience that started with managing projects and client accounts, and has grown and evolved into driving polished execution across all engagements. My passion plays out day to day in ensuring our people and our work are properly aligned efficient and always improving.
As to my personal operation – I’ve lived in the Tampa Bay area for over 30 years. I currently share my home with a variety of pets and my husband, Bryan. If you can imagine an engineer and a scientist working on home projects together, then you can imagine the level of measure twice, cut once that happens around our house! When we aren’t building a 3-story deck, digging a koi pond, and designing a Little Free Library, we are traveling, cooking, reading, and creating art projects of all sorts.
