The Florida Holocaust Museum is one of the world’s largest Holocaust museums, dedicated to honoring the lives of those lost and preventing future genocides. Located in St. Petersburg, Florida, the museum opened in 1992. The museum is the vision of businessman and philanthropist Walter P. Loebenberg, who escaped Nazi Germany in 1939. Today the museum is not only a visceral, life-changing experience, but a critical resource for educators around the nation.
