Outright International, a leader in global LGBTIQ human rights advocacy, partners with Big Sea in an ongoing, multi-channel engagement serving international audiences worldwide—work that earned a Gold Anthem Award while expanding reach, deepening engagement, and driving vital fundraising.

The Problem

Bridging global advocacy with digital engagement

Outright International had a powerful mission and strong existing revenue streams, but its digital presence wasn’t built to consistently attract and convert new individual donors. With ambitious growth goals, expanding international audiences in Europe and Canada, and a critical giving season ahead, the team needed a cohesive digital strategy that could increase visibility, build trust, and engage supporters long before a donation ask.

They turned to Big Sea for a full-stack marketing partnership to help design and execute an integrated digital marketing approach, connecting content, paid media, and the power of HubSpot into an always-on digital marketing engine that supports advocacy partners worldwide while steadily growing individual giving.

The strategy

From moment-based campaigns to an always-on global advocacy engine

Big Sea partnered with Outright International to build an always-on global marketing system designed to support advocacy partners worldwide, grow individual giving, and extend engagement beyond campaign moments. The strategy focused on creating durable infrastructure that connected storytelling, education, and action year-round.

The approach centered on three priorities:

  • Unify messaging and visuals across regions, audiences, and channels while remaining flexible for local use.

  • Equip individuals, community groups, and corporate partners with high-quality, accessible tools for storytelling and fundraising.

  • Mobilize supporters through integrated content, paid media, and lead generation that built trust first, then activated giving.
