At the core of all that I do is a deep love for advertising, which started in high school – back before Spotify and Apple Music killed the CD industry. I must have made hundreds of burned CD mixtapes back then, but one theme I remember fondly was my collection of mixes that featured songs from various TV commercials. I was fascinated with the process of matching the perfect song for each commercial, a special blend of creativity, strategy and testing. From that point, I knew I was wired for a future in the ad and marketing industry.
After graduating from the Zimmerman Ad School at the University of South Florida, I was hired by a small agency in Tampa (Affari Edge), where I had also interned for nearly two years prior to joining full time. In that role, I lived out the full agency experience, from learning media buying and account management to graphic design and even development.
After Affari, I took an opportunity to hop to the client side at AAA, joining the eCommerce team as a digital designer, though I also took on responsibilities in copywriting, development and managing the organization’s digital editorial calendar.
Four years later, I took an opportunity to join Sparxoo, an upstart digital agency with big growth potential and high ambitions. At Sparxoo, I helped lead strategy and execution for our key accounts while also helping grow the agency from about five employees when I joined to upwards of 35. Some of the key accounts I oversaw include Tech Data, Red Hat, Weight Watchers, The Philadelphia 76ers, and Ford Direct.
I joined Big Sea as part of its acquisition of Sparxoo in 2022. Today, I continue to lead client service and strategy for key accounts, primarily on the Tech and B2B side of the portfolio – which is where my passion lies.
I’ve got two young kiddos who keep me busy when I’m not writing the next big client strategy. On weekends, you’ll find us at the zoo, the beach, or doing cannonballs in the pool. I’m a huge sports fan, too, so if I have alone time, you’ll likely find me on the golf course.
