As a Marketing Strategist at Big Sea, I lead the overall big picture brand and strategic initiatives for my clients. I immerse myself in my clients and their business to ensure that ours is a trusted partnership. What really drives me is bringing great brands, people, and products to life in the form of storytelling. That’s where the magic happens: when those stories are told in the right way, at the right time, and to the right audiences.
I’ve been in the marketing industry since 2012. After graduating undergrad at Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!) with a degree in Marketing & Management, I realized I wanted to continue my journey in learning and expand my skills. So, while working full-time, I went back to obtain my MBA. My career really began in the field of Healthcare IT event marketing at Cerner Corporation (now owned by Oracle) in Kansas City. Serving as a Marketing Partner for over 5 years, I coordinated one of their largest yearly trade shows, HIMSS, and told the Cerner story through our 15,000 sq. ft. booth.
As I began to learn more about myself and what I wanted in my career, I made the decision to venture into the advertising world, where I could work with diverse client industries and help brands grow. Since moving to the agency side, I’ve had the opportunity to lead almost every type of advertising campaign, from TV commercials to print ads to social media influencer campaigns. I absolutely love that my role at Big Sea gives me opportunities to dive into new industries and bring fresh ideas to the table. A few of my notable clients include Snooki, Ali Larter, & Toyota.
In my free time, you can catch me playing pickleball with my husband, Christian, gardening, eating tacos, taking our dog Milly on walks, and riding my Peloton – Together We Go Far. Although I’m landlocked and working remotely from Kansas City, I love to scuba dive. Given the choice, I would always prefer to be 60 feet underwater.
