As a Marketing Technology Specialist at Big Sea, I support our project managers and marketing team with automation setup, AI research, AI Integration, and AI training.
My love for in-depth research started with my first master’s degree in communication where I won the top thesis award at Boise State University in 2017. I researched the Blue Campaign (a human trafficking awareness campaign) and how it could improve. I then went on to get a Master of Fine Art in Color Theory and Visual Communication. At the time I was in the program, generative AI was introduced to the open market. My love for all things sci-fi related caused me to take a professional development course at MIT where I earned a certification in AI Data Solutions and building LLMs. This is where my career evolved from traditional communications work (I have been everything from a social media manager to a director of public relations and marketing strategy) to supporting communications teams with AI.
Being at Big Sea is a big dream come true! I have always volunteered or worked in the public sector trying to help as many organizations as possible. Eventually my cup ran dry because I would be working three part time jobs, consulting, teaching, and volunteering! Big Sea allows me to utilize my skills in a way to maximize my impact on the agencies doing important work!
Outside of work I am an artist with multiple exhibitions and awards. I also volunteer as an artist and advocate for the International Foundation for Gastrointestinal Disorders (IFFGD) where I help raise awareness of chronic digestive illnesses and the drastic increase of rare digestive disorders. Finally, I am married to an amazing human, have a rescue dog, and four pet snails!
