As the AVP of Marketing at Big Sea, my main focus is to build a culture of innovation that targets, delivers, evaluates, and improves marketing results for our clients. Working together as a trusted partner, I’m able to understand our clients’ business goals, solve pain points, and inspire creativity through nurtured relationships. I work closely with our cross-functional teams to research, plan, and execute effective marketing campaigns while supporting a team of Marketing Strategists. I aim to inspire potential, while offering a level of expertise that supports our clients’ needs with confidence.
I began my career in the field of communications at Rogerson Communities – a non-profit located in Boston, MA. Serving as the main liaison between their corporate office and 25 affiliated properties, I coordinated the production of all internal and external communication. After relocating to Tampa, FL in 2007, I continued working in communications until I took the plunge into the field of Media. Starting as a Media Assistant, I worked my way up the ranks to Media Buyer and Planner at Mediagistic, where I focused on traditional mass-media buying.
Understanding where the industry was heading, I wanted to step into the digital space, and began working at one of Tampa Bay’s largest marketing firms, Triad Retail Media. Supporting the Walmart.com team, I served as a Senior Digital Media Planner for numerous big-box CPG brands, including J&J, P&G, Pfizer, L’Oreal, and Revlon, supporting budgets ranging from $50k to $5M per campaign. I assisted in the creation of the Walmart sports hub initiative bringing sports-related merchandise to the online platform and creating multi-supplier media plans to represent all major sports leagues.
In 2016, I took my experience to Catalina, one of the world’s largest in-store media networks as a Business Consultant, Marketing and Promotions, to design and execute promotion programs that incentivized consumer point-of-purchase decisions for Manufacturing and CPG clients. Wanting to focus more on full-funnel marketing, I pivoted into a Marketing Manager role at Bisk, focusing on amplifying potential through transformational learning experiences. Responsible for the development and execution of brand strategy and annual marketing plans for non-profit educational institutions, I was responsible for the online marketing efforts of the University of Notre Dame, New England College, Jacksonville University, Valparaiso University and The University of Scranton.
My passion for strategy and building remarkable client relationships ultimately brought me to Big Sea. Here, through storytelling, design, and effective strategic planning, I’m able to help clients reach their goals. It’s amazing to be part of the process and to work with a group of such talented and kind human beings on a daily basis.
I have a B.A. in Journalism from Keene State College and have completed both an Advanced Specialized Certificate in Intercultural Management and a Certificate in Women in Leadership through the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza College of Business. With my degree in Journalism, I worked as a freelance writer for Patch.com, focusing on community-specific news, features, events, and business profiles. I also worked as a Correspondent Writer for The Standard-Times Newspaper.
During my down time, I can usually be found at the beach with my husband, Steve, and our two rescue pups, Kiki and Levi. Beach life is a good life and one of the main reasons I moved to Florida from New England many years ago. When not at the beach, I can be found pedaling away on my Peloton – Together We Go Far!
